Help us find Jewell’s future alumni

The following events are designed to acquaint potential students with everything that Jewell has to offer. If you know a high school student who might be a good fit for William Jewell, please contact the Office of Admission at admission@william.jewell.edu, or call us at 888-2JEWELL.

Homecoming-October 13, 2007-Homecoming is a great weekend for alumni and their families to come back to the Hill.  The Office of Admission will be open from 9 a.m. to noon, with opportunities to meet with an admission staff member and get a tour of campus.

Journey to Jewell-November 1 & 2, 2007 and March 27 & 28, 2008-Journey to Jewell is an in-depth visit experience with opportunities to meet with faculty and coaches, attend classes, tour the campus, hear from our faculty and students and have several meals on campus. This comprehensive visit is offered to high school juniors during the spring semester and to high school seniors during the fall semester.

Jewelltide-November 30, 2007-This special event allows seniors to view the campus during the “Hanging of the Green” and “Lighting of the Quad,” two treasured holiday traditions at William Jewell.  Seniors are also allowed to attend a class and meet with faculty and/or coaches.  Finally, seniors will be able to question a student panel about campus life, academics and athletics in an informative Question & Answer session.

Jewell on Display-January 18, 2008-This is the final campus recruitment program of the year for high school seniors.  Participants will attend a class, meet with faculty and/or coaches, and mingle with current Jewell students over a meal in the newly renovated Yates-Gill College Union dining hall.  They will also have the opportunity to meet with their admission counselor and discuss financial aid.

Winter Warmup-February 18, 2008-This program for high school juniors is designed to help them get serious about the college selection process.  In addition to providing an overview of William Jewell College, the program also provides an introduction to the college search process and how to decide which college or university is the right choice.

William Jewell College and the Offices of Admission and Alumni Relations would like to thank the following alumni for their involvement in the inaugural year (2006-2007) of the Jewell CARDS  (Cardinal Alumni Recruiting Distinguished Students) program. Their willingness to share their personal experiences as graduates of the College is invaluable and provides a meaningful perspective to students considering Jewell. We appreciate the efforts of our alumni for giving so generously of their time, for their dedication to their alma mater, and for helping us to recruit the future alumni class of 2011!

Not already a member of Jewell CARDS? Looking for a way to stay connected and to continue making a difference for William Jewell College? Jewell CARDS may be the program for you! Help us to recruit the next generation of Cardinals by becoming a member of Jewell CARDS. The primary role for a Jewell CARDS member is to be a credible resource for prospective students making the difficult decision about where to attend college. Share your Jewell experience through personal emails, notes and letters to prospective students; mingle with students and families at on and off-campus recruitment events; or refer distinguished high school students to the College.
