“Journeys of Mind and
Faith” is an annual series
of faculty lectures that
aims to engage students
in conversations about the interpenetration
of religious faith and academic study.
William Jewell College faculty are invited to
share their stories of faith and learning,
reflecting upon how the two have or have
not influenced the other, reflecting upon
how one holds to faith in the face of academic study. The series enriches the
general faith and learning conversation
that defines the mission of the college.
Lectures are presented at 7 p.m. in Room
221 of Yates-Gill College Union on the
William Jewell campus.

William Jewell College’s “Perspectives on
the Common Good” lecture series focuses
on themes of selfhood and responsibility,
challenging listeners to explore the
complexities of values in a pluralistic world.
Through the generosity of several
benefactors, William Jewell has created a
distinctive lecture series that facilitates
both internal and external community
conversation about defining contemporary
issues.All lectures are free and open to the
public at 7:30 p.m. in John Gano Memorial
Chapel on the William Jewell campus.

A variety of vocal and instrumental music
events are an important part of the annual
calendar of cultural events at William Jewell
College.
Faculty of the William Jewell College music
department are joined by distinguished alumni and friends in this
new concert series held in John Gano Memorial Chapel. All
performances are free, but donations to the department’s
scholarship fund are accepted.
