William Jewell honors alumni for life achievements

William Jewell College honored distinguished alumni who have made significant contributions in their respective fields at its annual Celebration of Achievement March 5 and 6. Special guest speaker for the 65th annual Achievement Day dinner was Walter Isaacson, President and CEO of the Aspen Institute, who offered the Achievement Day address at Kansas City’s Westin Crown Center Hotel. Isaacson is the former Chairman and CEO of CNN and former Managing Editor of Time magazine.

Honorees were saluted at a pre-dinner reception. Ann K. Dickinson served as Honorary Chairman for the event, and Martha B. Comment was the Event Chairman for the Celebration of Achievement. The Achievement Day honorees were also
recognized at an on-campus convocation March 6 in John Gano Memorial Chapel.
