The Alumni Board of Governors annually recognizes alumni service to William Jewell College during Homecoming festivities.  This year’s honorees are:

The WJC Athletic Hall of Fame Committee selected the 2008 inductees to be installed at the Homecoming Dinner.  Honorees include:

Alumni Service Awards
Call for nominations!

Know of an alumnus or alumna worthy of recognition?  The William Jewell College Alumni Board of Governors is accepting nominations for the Alumni Service Awards for 2009. 

These awards are presented annually to alumni who have shown evidence of ongoing meritorious service and loyalty to the College. The selections are made by the Alumni Board of Governors and are presented at the annual Homecoming dinner. (Current Board of Governors members are not eligible for awards.)

John F. Truex Lifetime Service Award
•           Pinnacle award of the Alumni Association
•           Presented to an alumnus or alumna who graduated more than 50 years ago.
•           One award presented per year, if appropriate

Distinguished Alumni Service Award
•           Presented to alumni who graduated more than 15 years ago.
•           Often to a man and a woman, sometimes to a couple

Young Distinguished Alumni Service Award
Presented to alumni who graduated less than 15 years ago.

Honorary Alumni
Presented to community members, including retired faculty,
who are not William Jewell alumni but who have:
•           exhibited meritorious service and loyalty to the College
•           displayed a continuing campus presence
