The Jewell Fund provides a dramatic illustration of the collective power of individual donors. During the 2007-2008 fiscal year, just under 3,000 alumni made a financial commitment to the College, and more than $1,260,000 was raised for the Jewell Fund during William Jewell’s annual giving campaign.
 
“When you give to the Jewell Fund, you give directly and immediately to our extraordinary students and faculty,” said Kent Huyser ’93, Executive Director of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving. “Your one gift to the Jewell Fund works together with other gifts from alumni, parents and friends to make a significant impact on Jewell students.”

Annual participation in the Jewell Fund strengthens Jewell’s credibility with prospective students, prospective faculty, college ranking organizations, and those considering investment in transformational education.
 
“Before corporate donors and charitable foundations make a financial contribution to the College, they often look to see if those closest to Jewell are providing tangible support,” Huyser noted. “The power of our cumulative participation far transcends the power of our individual gifts.”
