Services

At the Jewell writing center, students can have a writing proctor proofread their essays before submitting them to professors. The staff requests that students come in at least a day before the paper is due so that they may have time to read the essay carefully, and that students may have time to make any corrections. Students are not obligated to make the changes that the proctors suggest; they are merely suggestions.

 

In addition to proofreading, the Jewell Writing Center also offers free tutoring through the Educational Advancement Program (EAP). Go to the “Forms” page to download the tutor application form, block schedule, and student contract. Please bring your completed forms, including a block schedule with all of your obligations filled in, to the Writing Center in Jewell 103 and we will assist you.
