Applying to William Jewell College

Step 1

Submit the Online Application for Admission

--The application for the fall 2012 start term will be available on September 15th.
--Your application for admission doubles as your application for Jewell's Presidential Academic Scholarships.
--Oxbridge Honors Program and Nursing Applicants, please see below for additional items needed.
--William Jewell College is also a member of the Common Application. No institutional supplement to the Common Application is required.
 

Step 2

Submit Your Official Transcripts and Test Scores
--Print the Secondary School Report form to provide to your guidance counselor as a reminder to send us your transcripts and official ACT or SAT test scores as well as any additional information they would like to include.
--Jewell's institutional codes for standardized tests are: ACT - 2394 and SAT - 6941
 

Step 3

Apply for Co-curricular and Talent Scholarships

--This includes music, theatre, debate and other opportunities you may be interested in. For a complete list and application criteria please click HERE.
 
Oxbridge Honors Program Applicants Only:
The Oxbridge Program is an select honors program for students who wish to pursue an Oxbridge major field of study through individual and small-group tutorials and by independent reading and research. The program also involves a year of study at Oxford University. In addition to the first-year application for admission requirements indicated above, interested students should submit the following items to complete their application for Oxbridge consideration:
  • Two academic recommendations from teachers or professors.
  • Substitute the Oxbride essay prompt for the personal statement requested on the Jewell application for admission. Your essay should be between 250-500 words in length. The Oxbridge essay prompt will be released on September 15th.
  • Applicants must first be admitted to William Jewell College before their Oxbridge Honors Program application will be considered. Upon acceptance to Jewell, the Oxbridge committee will review your application and select candidates will be contacted to schedule an interview with a panel of Oxbridge faculty.

First-Year Nursing Applicants Only:
--Complete and submit the
Nursing Application Supplement.

--Priority Course Registration (reserved space in early Cardinal Day registration event)

December 1: Priority Application Date
Apply priority and receive:

--Priority Scholarship Consideration

January 1: Jewell Begins Accepting the FAFSA
--The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is the only way to find out about state, federal and institutional grant aid as well as student loans that you may qualify for.

May 1: Late Application Date
Late deadline to apply for admission for the upcoming fall term
