Art

The Department of Art at William Jewell College offers a strong, broad based interdisciplinary curriculum challenging students to develop fundamental competence and skills in a variety of media. With small class sizes and engaged faculty as a distinctive feature of the Jewell art department, students receive personal instruction and valuable feedback in sharpening skills and increasing competence in each media area. The department also offers excellent programming in preparing students for K-12 art education certification. Internships and mentoring collaborations in a variety of art related fields are available in the Kansas City metro area and beyond. Opportunities for overseas study add a valuable component to the major.
