Visiting Athletic Trainers Guide
The Athletic Training Staff would like to welcome you to Liberty and William Jewell College. We hope that you enjoy your stay here, and we look forward to assisting you in any way possible. The following information is just a little of what we have to offer you and your teams.
Medical Coverage
The Athletic Training Room will be open approximately one and one half hours prior to an event. The Athletic Training Room is located in the lower level of Mabee Center. At least one Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) will be in attendance at all home events. During the football season, WJC’s team orthopedic physician, Dr. Tim Monahan will be in attendance. For all contests, we provide all emergency supplies, such as an AED, vacuum splints and crutches on the home sideline/bench as well. An ambulance will be present at all football games.
If the need arises, we have moist heat therapy, electrical stimulation, and ultrasound available in the athletic training room. If your team will be traveling without an athletic trainer, please send/fax written documentation with the team for any requested services.
