The Matthew 25 Project is an urban mission/service project with the goals of improving substandard housing in Kansas City’s urban core, and building relationships between faith communities and community organizations from different regions and cultural backgrounds. WJC partners with the city of Kansas City, and the Palestine Community Development Center to identify esidents which are in need of home repair. Over the last three years volunteers from churches, civic groups and high school students have been partnered together to repair and paint more than 40 homes in the urban core of Kansas City.
