The Career Mentor Program
The Career Mentor Program is offered for two months each semester (September-November and February-April). Interested students should submit an application, resume and a written reference to Career Services the semester prior to the mentorship. (See information document for more information.)
APPLFRM_TEMPLATE APPLFAST_TEMPLATE APPLFRM APPLFAST INFORMATION Letter of Recommendation Template ACT-In Requirements
The first two documents are electronic forms to be used if typing/uploading (preferred method). The first APPLFRM… is for new applications; the second APPLFAST… is for repeat participants. Note the instructions of these two documents. They are in template form and protected to keep the forms from getting edited during data entry. Before you upload to eRecruiting (part of the application process), you will need to unprotect the document (instructions are included on the form). If you do not, the document upload will report an error.
The second two forms should be used if you are handwriting your application.
The Information document will give you more details on the career mentor program and the ACT-In Requirements explain how the career mentor program fulfills the active engagement component for the ACT-In major.
The Letter of Recommendation may be forwarded to a faculty or staff member to give them an idea what to write for your recommendation.
If you have questions, please contact Judy Rychlewski at 816-415-5938 or campus extension 5238. The Career Mentor Program is a cooperative program of the Career Services Office and the Alumni Board of Governors. The Career Services Office is located in 218 Yates-Gill College Union.
