HUMAN FACTORS IN 4 DIMENSIONS (HF4D)

The Human Factors System is designed to describe how you behave under certain conditions and environments encountered in a work situation. It is an introspective tool to help you understand the way you use your abilities to accomplish tasks and adapt to demands made upon you by fellow workers, supervisors, rules, regulations, deadlines, etc. Here are the instructions on how to take the HF4D:

1. Download the HF4D instrument HERE
2. Go to toolbars and make sure the reviewing toolbar is selected
3. Find the highlighter icon on the reviewing toolbar and set the color to blue
4. Highlight ONLY ONE that is MOST like you and ONLY ONE that is LEAST like you
5. Answer all 24 questions
6. Save the file
7. Send the file as an attachment torychlewskj AT william.jewell DOT edu

If you are uncomfortable taking this instrument electronically you can come to the Career Services Office in 218 YGCU and fill out a paper copy. Thank you.

SUCCESS FACTORS

Intended to accompany the HF4D, Success Factors is an instrument consisting of 137 skills which you must rank between 1 and 5. The ranking reflects your impressions of the degree to which you possess each skill. The rankings can be completed in less than 20 minutes. At completion, you will have an Excel spreadsheet of all your 5’s, 4’s, etc., with instructions as to how to develop appropriate skills into stories which illustrate those skills.
