Jane Chu joined the William Jewell College Board of Trustees in January.

She has served as president and CEO of the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts since 2006, helping plan and open the Kansas City facility in 2011. Previously, Chu served as the fund executive for the Kauffman Fund, vice president for external relations at Union Station Kansas City, and vice president of community investment at the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation.

She holds bachelors and masters degrees in piano performance, music education and piano pedagogy from Ouachita Baptist University and Southern Methodist University. Chu also holds a master of business administration from Rockhurst University and a Ph.D. in philanthropic studies from Indiana University.
