Ruth Bax-Edwards recently received the Carl F. Willard Distinguished Teacher Award from William Jewell. She has the distinction of having taught every nursing student—more than 1,000—at Jewell.
Kristen Blochlinger was named to the Top 20 Nursing Professors in Missouri by Online Schools Missouri in 2013. She also was awarded the 2012 Outstanding Community Service Award from The Research Foundation of Kansas City.

Elizabeth Kessler was selected to receive scholarship support toward doctoral study from the Research Foundation of Kansas City. She also was named Jewell's Academic Advisor of the Year.
Daniel Love was named to the Top 20 Nursing Professors in Missouri by Online Schools Missouri in 2013. He also was awarded the Truman Medical Center Excellence in Nursing Award and the 2012 Teaching Excellence Award from The Research Foundation of Kansas City.
Leesa McBroom successfully defended her dissertation. She also received a grant from the Endocrine Nurses Society for her research regarding divorced parents and children with type 1 diabetes and was selected as a Board Member to Missouri Nursing Association's District 18. She was nominated by University of Missouri Sinclair School of Nursing faculty for Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.
Sheila Shipley was awarded the 2011 Outstanding Community Service Award from The Research Foundation of Kansas City. She completed a master's degree in nursing from Loyola University in Chicago in May 2011 with a specialty in population based infection control and environmental safety.
Nichole Spencer was named to the Top 20 Nursing Professors in Missouri by Online Schools Missouri in 2013. She also received Honorary Recognition for Service from the City of Puerto Cortes and was awarded the 2011 Teaching Excellence Award from The Research Foundation of Kansas City.
Melissa Timmons was awarded the 2013 Teaching Excellence Award from The Research Foundation of Kansas City.
Charlene Wickam was selected by Liberty Hospital as their representative to the American Association of Critical Care Nurses National Teaching Institute in Chicago.
Jan Witzke received the 2013 Scholarly Achievement Award from The Research Foundation of Kansas City. She also was awarded a degree from the University of Kansas as Master of Science in Nursing, Healthcare Informatics.
