More than 1,000 students have graduated from William Jewell College Department of Nursing, and they work in key leadership positions in virtually every hospital in the Kansas City area, in addition to schools, physician practices and clinics.
More than 85 percent of Jewell nursing graduates find employment immediately after graduating because they have a broad understanding of nursing practices, as well as specific skills in their chosen field. Jewell’s reputation for well-rounded nursing graduates has remained strong since the program started in 1970.

The Department of Nursing received full accreditation from CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) for 10 years without recommendations (2009-2019).

Jewell nursing graduates also score consistently above the state and national pass rates on nursing licensing exams.
