A student experiencing a temporary physical disability that limits his/her ability to move around campus may request temporary accommodations. These accommodations include a parking sticker indicating that the student is temporarily disabled and a change in the student’s classroom location. In order to receive these accommodations, the student must provide documentation from a licensed physician describing the nature of the disability as well as an indication of how long mobility will be impaired.
A student experiencing temporary illness or other types of medical conditions that do not affect him/her for an extensive period of time, but requires accommodation, should notify the office of Counseling Services at (816) 415-5946 or ext. 5946. |
