Jewell Awards & Grants
The following awards are offered by the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarship Services to students meeting eligibility criteria. Additional applications are not required.
The Dilts Award is a one-time $500 award presented to one student who wishes to major in biology and participate in undergraduate research during the first year. Requirements: 3.75 GPA or higher/top 90% on standardized test.
A need-based award that is variable based on the results of the FAFSA and other financial aid received by a student. Applicants completing the FAFSA prior to William Jewell's Priority Deadline will receive a priority on a funds-available basis.
Fall 2014 admits/applicants who complete the FAFSA prior to William Jewell's Priority Deadline will receive a $500 scholarship beginning Fall 2014.
$2,000 Awarded to students whose immediate family member is a Jewell alumnae. Eligible students include:
- A student whose parent (including step-parent) graduated from William Jewell College;
- A student whose sibling graduated from William Jewell College;
- A student whose sibling currently attends William Jewell College and has completed at least one full-time semester.
Out-of State Grant
Up to $2,000 awarded (amount determined by financial need) to non-Missouri residents to offset the loss of state aid by not attending an institution in a student's home state beginning in Fall 2014. Applicants must file the FAFSA by April 1 to be eligible and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.50.
