Graduating Senior Exhibit opens at Jewell's Stocksdale Gallery Contact: Rob Eisele, 816-415-7574 October 11, 2007
The Stocksdale Gallery of William Jewell College continues its exhibition season by featuring the work of graduating senior art majors. The exhibit will begin with an opening reception held in the gallery on Sunday, November 11, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. The exhibit will run through December 14, 2007. The gallery is located on the top floor of Brown Hall on the campus of William Jewell College in Liberty, Mo.
The exhibit features work in various media completed as part of the graduation requirements for the degree of B.A. in Art or Art Education. The show premiers the work of senior artists Kelsey Amara, Josh House and Rachel Obert. The work is comprised of painting, printmaking and video art ranging in themes such as male body image, gender and mythology, and travel as expansion.
The opening reception and exhibit are open to the public and free of charge. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, contact gallery director Rob Quinn at 816-781-7700, ext. 5415.
