Rich Boyle attended Jewell from 1965-1969. He was a physical education and Social Science major. He was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity and a four year letter winner in football. He also lettered in track. As a junior he was named to the 1968 2nd Team, and was an NAIA All American. He was also an Honorable Mention selection as a junior. Boyle was a three time 1st Team All-Conference selection. Additionally, he played on four conference championship teams. In 1969 he was awarded the Cecil R. Martin Award for Jewell’s Athlete of the Year.
