William Jewell College has been recognized by the NCAA Division II as the Great Lakes Valley Conference winner of the Community Engagement Award of Excellence. A national winner will be chosen from among the 20 conference finalists and recognized at the Division II National Championships Festival in Louisville in May.
Community engagement is a Division II initiative directed at building meaningful, long-lasting bridges among athletics programs, their institutions and the communities in which they are located.
