Art Sale The Department of Art will present a spring sale of student and faculty artwork from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, May 4, in Yates-Gill College Union on the Liberty, Mo., campus. Come find that perfect gift for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day or graduation. Visa and MasterCard will be accepted. Concert Preview The Concert Choir will perform a preview of its May England/Scotland tour. The concert, to be held at 8 p.m. on May 4 at Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral in Kansas City, will include music of great English composers such as Tallis, Stanford and Pearsall as well as beautiful sacred and secular works from Europe and the United States, including a work by Dr. Ian Coleman, professor of music and chair at William Jewell. The event costs $5 for students and faculty and $10 for adults. Proceeds will help pay for meals while the choir is on tour. Dr. Anthony Maglione serves as conductor.
Jewell Theatre Camp Jewell Theatre will host a residential camp June 17-22 for grades 9 through 12 (graduating seniors welcome) on the Liberty campus. Jewell faculty, alumni and students will lead improvisation games, acting classes, workshops and production rehearsals. Campers will be cast in a production that rehearses each afternoon and is performed as part of a final show for family and friends.
