• Funding of special equipment or reagents to use in research done at Jewell
• Advanced coursework done at another institution (probably in the summer)
• Attending a training workshop run by the American Chemical Society or another organization
• Funding of a volunteer opportunity in the U.S. or abroad  (such as medical missions for a premed student)
• Funding of summer research at Jewell
• Funding of an internship opportunity, in the U.S. or abroad
• Attending a sustainability conference, in the U.S. or abroad
