A pair of local political powerhouses will address the topic “Must We Do Wrong to Win in Politics?” at 7:30 p.m. March 12 in Room 222 of Yates-Gill College Union on the William Jewell College campus in Liberty, Mo. The public is invited to attend, and tickets or reservations are not required to attend the forum, which is hosted by the Department of Political Science at William Jewell.
The event features political consultants Steve Glorioso and Jeff Roe in a forum moderated by KMBC-TV political correspondent Mike Mahoney.

Steve Glorioso has served as a political consultant or aide to a long list of Democratic party candidates and office-holders. He recently served on the campaigns of former Kansas City Mayor Kay Barnes and Senator Claire McCaskill. He served as aide to former Kansas City Mayor Kay Barnes. Glorioso grew up in Northeast Kansas City and his stepfather served as mayor of Gladstone. He holds a master’s degree in political science from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Jeff Roe has served as political consultant or aide to a long list of Republican and conservative candidates and causes, including the recent campaigns of Representative Sam Graves. He also served as chief of staff to Rep. Graves in Washington, D.C. He graduated from Northwest Missouri State University. Roe’s blog, The Source, is considered a must-read for conservatives in Missouri politics.
Micheal Mahoney is the main political correspondent for KMBC-TV, the ABC affiliate in Kansas City, where he has reported since 1980. He has covered every major political campaign in Kansas and Missouri since 1982. Born in Dublin, Ireland, Mahoney has also been a reporter in Des Moines; Wilmington, N.C.; and Columbia, Mo. He graduated from the School of Journalism at the University of Missouri.
