William Jewell Chess Club hosts tournament

The William Jewell College Chess Club and Kansas City Scholastic Chess Association will sponsor a tournament on Saturday September 5 at the Yates-Gill College Union on the campus in Liberty, Mo.
Onsite Registration and Check-in: Onsite Registration 9:00 - 9:30 AM. Please check-in by 10AM if you have registered online. All players need to check-in before the tournament. Tournament starts at 10:30.
Awards: Trophies and Medals.
Where: William Jewell College 500 College Hill, Liberty, MO 64068. The tournament will be played in Yates-Gill College Union. Map
Who: All kids in grades Kindergarten to 12th Grade can play.
Sections: K-2 K-4 K-6 K-12. We will combine sections if needed but award all medals and trophies.
Six Rounds Game 30 /each player has thirty minutes to finish the game. Round one will be Game 20. Sets and clocks will be provided. All players play all six games. If you need to leave early or arrive late, please notify the tournament director, Ken Fee.
Entry Fee: $10 online or by mail by September 3rd. Brothers and sisters are free. Onsite registration is $15.
Membership: We will be using www.mychessrating.com (MCR) ratings this year. Remaining CXR membership months will be added to MCR memberships. MCR memberships are $5 per year. You may begin signing up for MCR memberships on September 1st.
Parking: Visitor parking is provided behind the Yates-Gill College Union.
