William Jewell College and Nell Hill’s to host shopping night Contact: Rob Eisele, 816-415-7574 March 12, 2009
William Jewell College has partnered with local interior designer Mary Carol Garrity to offer a shopping night at Garrity’s Northland home furnishings store, Nell Hill’s. Garrity has been named the official interior designer for William Jewell’s Sorority Complex & Greek Common currently under construction on the campus in Liberty, Mo.
Nell Hill’s¬ at Briarcliff Village will be open to the public from 6-9 p.m. on April 23 to showcase the design themes selected for the Sorority Complex. Shoppers can enjoy beverages and appetizers while viewing the designs and gathering ideas on applying similar themes in their own homes.
Interior design elements for each of William Jewell’s four sororities will be displayed during the April 23 event. Guests may purchase furnishings for the complex from a registry or shop the entire store for their own homes. A portion of sales from the shopping night will be donated to the Sorority Complex, scheduled to open this fall.
The residential facility, designed with a community focus, will include William Jewell’s four sorority houses with suite-style rooms and private bathrooms, a multipurpose room, fitness center, private study rooms, laundry facilities and lounges. A Greek Common building will join the four houses and provide a venue for leadership programming, alumni events, retreats and social events.
