The William Jewell College Department of Music presents the Handbell Choir in their Spring Concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, at the Liberty United Methodist Church, 1001 Sunset Ave., Liberty. The concert is free and open to the public.
The choir will feature original works and arrangements by Cynthia Dobrinski, G.F. Handel, Emily Li and Arnold Sherman. Zachary Stelzer, student conductor from Columbia, will direct an arrangement of “Oh For A Thousand Tongues to Sing.” Also on the program are arrangements of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “The Phantom of the Opera” selections and Katy Perry’s “Firework.”
Jessica Harmon, senior from Kansas City, will be recognized for her service to the Handbell Choir.
