Jewell named to Kiplinger’s “Best Values in Colleges”

Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine named William Jewell College among its top-rated schools based on the value of its education.

Among liberal arts colleges, Kiplinger’s placed William Jewell 77th on the top 100 “Best Value Colleges.” Jewell ranked 163rd in the overallBest Values in Colleges” list of 300 private, public and liberal arts colleges and universities.

Kiplinger’s studied roughly 1,200 four-year public and private colleges and universities, narrowed by measures of academic quality, such as competitiveness. Schools were then ranked, with 55 percent of the score determined by quality criteria, such as graduation rates and academic support, and the remainder by cost criteria, including cost, student indebtedness and financial aid.
