Summary

The Department of Nursing seeks applicants for a one year, full-time visiting instructor or Assistant Professor of Nursing to begin August 2017. The preferred candidate has preparation in pediatric and/or obstetric nursing and pharmacology. We seek a colleague who values a liberal arts education and who is willing to provide service to the department. Primary teaching responsibilities are in the areas of Family-Centered Nursing including Pediatric and/or Obstetric Nursing and Pharmacology.

Qualifications
• Ph.D. in Nursing preferred or Masters in Nursing required with on-going certification in nursing specialty area such as board certification through ANCC.
• Recent nursing practice experience preferred in Pediatrics or Obstetric areas
• Teaching experience preferred

Duties and Responsibilities
Teaching responsibilities in the Department of Nursing could include the following based on experience and expertise: Pediatric and/or Obstetric Nursing and Pharmacology.
• Teach nursing courses in the Department of Nursing.
• Academic advising and involvement in College and departmental committees and activities.
