Justice Council

This standing group includes representation from all constituencies of the campus community. The Justice Council exists as a forum for discussing issues of justice and sustainability. Emphasis is given to learning about issues and listening to various perspectives about issues. The Justice Council practices deliberative conversation and consensus resolution, allowing the community to practice such processes.

The Justice Council functions in an advisory capacity within the campus community, making recommendations for actions and policies to appropriate groups. On occasion, the Justice Council may be asked by other campus groups to deliberate on an issue and bring back to that group a recommendation. The Council, and the Center, will be more effective as agents of INFLUENCE and INSPIRATION than Power and Declaration.
