William Jewell College has found a top rating by Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine for the value of its education.
Among liberal arts colleges, Kiplinger’s placed William Jewell 65th on the top 100 “Best Value Colleges” for 2017. Jewell ranked 136th in the overall “Best Values in Colleges” list of 300 private, public and liberal arts colleges and universities.
Kiplinger’s studied roughly 1,200 four-year public and private colleges and universities, narrowed by measures of academic quality, such as competitiveness. Schools were then ranked, with 55 percent of the score determined by quality criteria, such as graduation rates and academic support, and the remainder by cost criteria, including cost, student indebtedness and financial aid.
