Rebecca Hamlett has been in the position of Instruction & Archive Librarian since June 2011. She earned her Bachelor's of Arts in English Literature with a minor in Computer Information Science from William Jewell College in 2010. She earned her Master's of Library Science with a Graduate Academic Certification in Advanced Management of Library and Information Agencies in 2011. She is a veteran of the U.S. Army and decided on a career in library science after spending time in positions of police dispatching and manufacturing management.

Rebecca resides in Kansas City, just outside the city of Liberty. She enjoys spending time with her family and going out to eat. She also likes reading about new technological innovations and developments in the fields of library science and education, as well as fiction best-sellers and literary classics. She enjoys teaching information literacy to students and welcomes emails and appointments for research and reference assistance.

Chris Vaughn, Library Support Specialist

Chris Vaughn began working at Jewell in August 2013. He earned his Bachelor's of Arts in Biblical Studies from Evangel University in 2007. Before joining Jewell, he worked for public libraries in Missouri since 2005.

Chris lives in Kansas City, MO and enjoys keeping up with the Royals and Chiefs, cooking, and being active in the community.

Barbara Wright has worked at the Charles F. Curry Library since December 2008. She earned her Bachelor’s of Education from the University of Central Missouri, Warrensburg. She majored in history and school media services. She taught junior high and middle school for 21 years. Upon her retirement, she worked with her spouse in the family construction business. She missed the academic environment and was hired as the Evening Circulation Supervisor.

Barbara lives in Kearney, Mo. She has three children and has spent much of her free time attending sporting events and supporting the teams in which her children are involved. Her hobbies have included reading, photography, creative crafts, traveling and gardening. She is a life-long member of the Lutheran Church, where she has held various positions. Barbara loves pets and has had a variety of cats and dogs. She is currently the mom to four dogs, a Pomeranian and three dogs without pedigrees.
