Through the internationally acclaimed Harriman-Jewell Series, students get to hear the world’s greatest artists in concert. Each year the Department of Music and the Harriman-Jewell series team up to bring some of this outstanding talent to the campus of William Jewell College to give master classes for our students and the surrounding area as well. These events allow our students to perform for and interact with leading performers from around the world. Participants receive direct feedback and instruction and these sessions prove to be very informative not only for those performing but also for those gathered to hear and see the teaching as it happens. All of these master class events are free and open to the public.
In the recent past we have enjoyed having Joyce DiDonato, soprano, Robert McDuffie, violinist, Jeremy Denk, violinist, Danielle de Niese, soprano, Stephanie Blythe, mezzo-soprano.
This season the line-up of artists is equally great – you can find full information on the Harriman-Jewell Series web site.
