Political Science

Understand the political world as it really is and engage in the great debates about how it should be.

As a political science major, you will examine U.S. policy in the Middle East, European Union expansion and whether Machiavelli really is a teacher of evil. You’ll conduct high-level research in democratization and war ethics. You not only will explore domestic and foreign policies, you can use a Journey Grant to visit the places you examine in the classroom and will have opportunities for service and political work.

Journey Grants

Global Studies

Grace Smith spent a semester in Haifa, Israel, researching U.S. Middle East policy. Jewell offers more than 60 international study programs.

Ben Shinogle combined his Journey Grant and Hall Family Foundation Grant to become Jewell’s first student to intern in Myanmar. He worked to find solutions for the working poor to gain access to technology, healthcare, financial resources and education.
