U.S. News & World Report has placed William Jewell College on its 2017 Best Colleges list.
The college earned top honors among national liberal arts colleges, earning a tie for 154th. Jewell also earned a tie for 127th on the “High School Counselors Rankings,” according to the magazine.
U.S. News & World Report has been ranking colleges and universities since 1983. Schools are ranked into categories created by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. The annual rankings are based on factors including assessment by peers and counselors, retention, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources, graduation rate performance, alumni giving rate and high school counselor ratings.
