William Jewell sets new record for service hours

The William Jewell College community has broken its record for most service hours completed for the second straight year.

Students, faculty, staff and alumni at Jewell provided 82,521 hours of service in 2015-2016, edging the previous record for service hours set the year before of 81,548.

The 2015-2016 service hours largely consisted of time in Liberty, Kansas City and Honduras as part of the College’s Village Partners Project. Further, 88 percent of the hours were related to the curriculum as service-learning hours.
