Wednesday, December 2 Hanging of the Green, 10:15 a.m., John Gano Memorial Chapel; a musical celebration featuring the Handbell Choir, Flute Choir, Jazz Band and Chamber Singers
Thursday, December 3 Lighting of the Quad, 7 p.m., John Gano Memorial Chapel and the Quadrangle; featuring the Symphonic Band and a lighting ceremony
Wednesday, December 9 Advent Service, 10:15 a.m. John Gano Memorial Chapel; scriptures and carols, celebration of infant children and families
Sunday, December 13 Christmas Festival, 7:30 p.m., Second Baptist Church, 309 E. Franklin, Liberty, MO; William Jewell Chapel Choir and Chamber Orchestra present a service of introspection and celebration for members of the Liberty and college communities
Monday, December 14: The City Come Again, noon, Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral, 13th & Broadway, Kansas City; Jewell’s Christmas gift, in words and music, to the city, featuring William Jewell Handbells and the Concert Choir, along with a seasonal homily from President David Sallee

David Nelson Duke Undergraduate Colloquium
Friday, April 23 “Celebrating the Life of the Mind: A Day of Undergraduate Scholarship and Creativity” involves students presenting their scholarly works to faculty, staff and the community at large through oral presentations, performing and visual arts, public speaking and readings of creative writing.
The day-long colloquium allows students from all academic disciplines to receive recognition for their unique ideas and studies. Classes are suspended so that all members of the community can participate.
The public is invited to attend the free events held at venues campus-wide.

Opening Convocation
10:15 a.m. Wednesday, September 9, John Gano Memorial Chapel William Jewell College officially marks the beginning of the new academic year with a formal convocation. The convocation also recognizes community leaders receiving the College’s Yates Medallion for Distinguished Service. The convocation is free and open to the public.
Guest speaker for the event is Carl Schramm, President and Chief Executive Officer, Kauffman Foundation.
