Congratulations!
You’ve been admitted to William Jewell College and joined a select group of talented students who are ready to embrace the Jewell Journey.
What’s next? Get your Journey started by completing these next steps.
Next Steps
Make your Decision – Officially reserve your space in the first-year class and residence hall by printing and mailing the completed Enrollment Confirmation Form and Residence Hall Application to: William Jewell College, Office of Admission, 500 College Hill, Liberty Missouri, 64068. Remember to include the non-refundable $300 enrollment fee which is applied to the cost of attendance. You’ll also want to print and mail the Health History and Immunization Record.
Plan your Finances – All new students are strongly encouraged to take advantage of all opportunities for scholarships and institutional, federal, and state aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Complete the FAFSA as soon as possible after January 1 and if you’re a Missouri resident, be sure to submit the FAFSA by the state aid deadline of April 1. Finally, take some time to click through Jewell’s Financial Aid Campus Gateway as you finalize your plans for funding your Jewell education.
Register for Cardinal Day – It’s a blast and it’s required for all new students! Choose one of three days to return to campus to be a part of pre-orientation activities that will cause Jewell to feel even more like home. You’ll meet with an academic advisor and enroll in classes for the fall, finalize financial aid, meet other new first-year students (maybe even your future roommate). Cardinal Day is required for all new first-year and transfer students.
Visit campus – Websites, publications, and pictures are great but if you haven’t visited campus yet, you’ll want to experience Jewell for yourself. Attend a group event or schedule an individual visit. Either way, there’s nothing quite like sitting down one-on-one with Jewell faculty and sensing their commitment to helping students fulfill their goals. You’ll also want to quiz current students about what it’s really like to be a Jewell student. And while you’re planning your visit, allow a few extra hours or maybe even an extra day and take advantage of all there is to do and see in Kansas City!
Get ready for Jewell’s premier First-Year Experience program – Become familiar with Jewell’s nationally acclaimed First-Year Experience program including CTI 100 Summer Reading, Mentor Program, Orientation, and First-Year Checklist.
Relax a bit, now that you’ve chosen Jewell – Take some time to enjoy the spring and summer. Reminisce and then dream a little! In a few short months, you’ll take on new responsibilities, engage in new relationships, try new experiences, and grow as a person. Open yourself to the opportunities you’ll soon encounter and get ready to be amazed with every step of The Journey.
