Why Give?
Support Extraordinary Students
William Jewell always has extraordinary students that give it the reputation as a “Campus of Achievement.” Since 2002, only five other liberal arts colleges in America have had students receive more national honors than William Jewell. It is not uncommon to see Jewell students involved in the Leadership Studies Programs, engaged in the International Studies office, coordinating service projects with Habitat for Humanity, or preparing for a spring break mission trip. Today’s students are engaged in achievement more than ever.

In Spring 2005 the College finalized the following promise to its students: William Jewell College is a campus of achievement that promises to offer students an outstanding liberal arts education with a focus on cultivating leadership, service, and spiritual growth within a community inspired by rigorous intellectual challenges and Christian ideals. Gifts to Jewell are an investment in this Promise.
Help Jewell become a destination liberal arts college
Over the past few years Jewell has been recognized consistently as having some of the best students and programs in America. Despite these recognitions Jewell only ranks 123rd among the top liberal arts institutions in America. But we are knocking on the door to officially join the ranks of the distinguished Top 100 list. Part of the criteria that determines these ranks are the percentage of alumni who financially support their alma mater. Jewell’s alumni support of 20 percent lags behind other top liberal arts schools who regularly receive financial gifts from 40 to 50 percent of its alumni. Giving to Jewell shows other organizations that you believe Jewell should be recognized among the top liberal arts institutions.
