Distinguished Young Alumni Service Award
The Young Alumni Service Award is bestowed upon a graduate of the College within 15 years of their graduation date who exhibits meritorious service to the National Alumni Association and shows evidence of loyalty to the College. Click here to see a list of previous recipients.

John F. Truex Award for Lifetime Alumni Service
The John F. Truex Lifetime Alumni Service Award is bestowed upon a graduate of the College who has exhibited meritorious service to the National Alumni Association and shows evidence of significant loyalty to the College. Honorary Membership in the National Alumni Association
In 1950, the National Alumni Association created a means to honor significant individuals who are not alumni of the College by making them honorary members of the Alumni Association. Below are the names of the 2005 recipients. Click here to see a list of previous recipients. 

All alumni awards are presented at ceremonies held during homecoming weekend each fall. To nominate someone for one of the awards listed above, email the Office of Alumni Relations at alumni@william.jewell.edu

The Office of Alumni Relations is happy to accept nominations for any award at any time; however, a formal request for nominations will be communicated in the spring issue of the Achieve magazine. Nominations will also be solicited from members of the National Alumni Association Board of Governors and members of the College administration.

The executive committee of the National Alumni Association Board of Governors will select candidates to present to the Board of Governors. The Board will select an award recipient from the candidates presented to them each July during the Board of Governors annual summer retreat. For scheduling convenience, this vote may be taken by mail at the discretion of the Office of Alumni Relations. All recipients must agree to participate in homecoming activities. In the event a recipient cannot be present, the honor will pass to the nominee receiving the next highest number of votes in the balloting.

Current members of the National Alumni Association Board of Governors and the Board of Trustees are not eligible for the award, although past members could meet eligibility requirements. The awards will be presented to no more than two alumni, per award, each year.
