Student-athletes at William Jewell College compete at the NAIA level. Jewell is a member of the Heart of America Conference, which boasts 11 member institutions and is regarded as one of the finest NAIA conferences in America.

Jewell was the first NAIA college to win 500 football games. And our basketball team is a formidable force in the Heart of America Conference. The Mabee Center for Physical Education is an exceptional facility for physical fitness. It houses a competition swimming and diving pool, basketball courts, squash and racquetball courts, an indoor track and a weight room. This large facility is a haven for faculty, staff and students looking to stay in shape by participating in a wide variety of fitness and recreational programs.

In addition to success on the courts and fields of play, academic success is also part of the story for William Jewell College athletics. Numerous Jewell student-athletes from each sport achieve Cardinal, Conference, Regional, and All-American Academic status.
