The biochemistry major was introduced to the college in 1997 by the departments of biology and chemistry. Our first students in this new major were graduated in 2001.

The biochemistry program is quickly becoming one of the most popular in Jewell's White Science Center. In it, students become familiar with one of the fastest-growing areas of science, the interface between chemistry and biology.
