What is Cardinal Term?

Cardinal Term is the interim period between the fall and spring semesters at William Jewell College during which the College offers a number of activities, including Cardinal Term Seminars, the Justice Summit, Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration, public book discussions and films, along with time for Jewell students to participate in undergraduate research and internship opportunities.

All events are open to members of the Jewell community, and many are also offered to the general public. Cardinal Term runs from January 4 to January 19, 2010.

Events Open to the Public

Cardinal Term Seminars
Cardinal Term Seminars scheduled during the winter break allow Jewell alumni, faculty and friends of the College to share their expertise in a variety of topics and subject areas with students and community members. No credit is given and there is no cost for the courses.

The 2010 Cardinal Term Seminars feature topics such as Afghan history, sustainability in business, independent filmmaking and music of the Holocaust. This is an opportunity to learn about intriguing subjects in a relaxed atmosphere. Community members and all members of the William Jewell community are invited to attend the Cardinal Term Seminars.

How do I enroll for the Cardinal Term Seminars?

Pre-registration is strongly encouraged to allow for adequate classroom space. Enrollment will close as space fills. Enroll in as many seminars as you wish by clicking on the link below. The deadline for pre-registration is January 8.
