Tom Eisenhauer enters his first season as head cross country coach, returning 'home' to his alma mater afer spending a year as a graduate assistant for the Northwest Missouri State University track & field team. Tom graduated from Jewell in 2006 with a degree in History and a minor in Coaching & Performance Enhancement and is currently pursuing an M.S.Ed. degree emphasizing in Health and Physical Education. At Jewell, Tom was a member of the track & field team for four years, competing in the 400m hurdles, 600m, and the 4x400m relay. He was also a member of the cross country team for two. Since graduating, Tom has participated in several road races ranging from 5K to 10 miles. Originally from Manitou Springs, Colorado, Tom has made Liberty a home with his new wife Ashley (2008).
Kevin McDougal enters his second season as an assistant coach at Jewell. McDougal is a graduate of Kearney High School where he was a 7-time state medalist in class 3. In 2000 he led the cross country team to a state title and finished second overall as an individual. He then attended Cowley County Community College from 2001-2003 where he was a 10-time national qualifier, three-time All-American, four-time All Region 16, and 5-time All-Conference Jayhawk East. He then attended Wichita State University from 2003-2005. As a Shocker, McDougal earned All- Conference honorable mention and graduated in 2006 with degree in Sports Administration.
