The academic profile of the entering class is the strongest of all small private colleges and universities in Missouri and the surrounding states of Kansas, Oklahoma, and Nebraska.
Over the last six years, William Jewell College students, with the support of faculty, have earned an impressive number of national and international prestigious and competitive honors, scholarships and fellowships including three Goldwater Scholars, a Marshall Scholar, three Truman Scholars, two USA Today Scholars, a Mitchell Scholar, a James Madison Fellow and a Point Foundation Scholar. Additionally from 2006-2008, Jewell claimed a Fulbright Scholar, two Rhodes Scholar national finalists, a National Institutes of Health Fellow, a George J. Mitchell Scholar, a Council of Independent Colleges American Graduate Fellowship finalist and a Teach for America corps placement.
