What are the professors like at Jewell?
The kind of education you’ll receive at Jewell requires faculty who don’t merely lecture and teach facts. Rather, they help students learn to think for themselves which may mean demanding more from them intellectually than they realize they are capable of giving. Jewell faculty are especially good at talent development. They’ll help you identify and acknowledge your own potential and then put you on a path to fulfill it.
William Jewell faculty are teachers, researchers, mentors, and yes, friends, who take every opportunity, both in the classroom and beyond, to interact with students and help them reach their goals.
In the past seven years, seven Jewell faculty have been chosen as Fulbright Scholars. Sponsored by the United States Department of State, the Fulbright Program provides funding for advanced research and teaching around the world with the aim to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and other countries.
