William Jewell Football is a long standing tradition up on the hill. WJC was the first NAIA football program to win over 500 games. Our goal is to establish William Jewell as one of the top NAIA football programs in the country. We will do this with young men who are quality student-athletes of high character.
William Jewell College has a proud academic and athletic heritage as well as first class facilities, including Patterson Filed/Greene Stadium, a new Sprint-Turf all weather football game complex.
Since joining the Heart of America Athletic Conference in 1973 WJC has won eight HAAC Championships and has placed numerous players on the All-Conference and All-American teams. The football team is also proud of the work they do in the classroom. For the fifth consecutive year, they have been a part of helping William Jewell College men’s athletic teams earn the honor of The Heart of America Athletic Conference Commissioners’ Scholarship Award. Jewell’s men’s athletic teams had the highest GPA in the conference with a 2.98.
In addition, the 2006-2007 HAAC Commissioners Male Scholarship winner was place kicker Stephen Bader with a GPA of 3.81. Stephen is a physics major.
