ALPHA DELTA PI
  • Greek Organization of the year- 2007-2008
  • Greek Woman of the Year- 2005-2006, 2006-2007, 2007-2008
  • First Secret Society for women founded in 1851 - the first sorority!
  • Hosted the annual TAKE Defense Workshop to teach women basic self defense
  • Hosted the annual Alpha Delta Pi BBQ-Blaze Off
  • Colors: Azure blue and white
  • Mascot: Alphie the Lion
  • Founded: May 15th, 1851
  • Philanthropy: The Ronald McDonald House
  • Educational Program- TAKE Defense
 
Alpha Gamma Delta
  • Nationally recognized in AGD by being a Five Star Chapter for last 5 years
  • Received Annulet at National Convention (most prestigious award for AGD)
  • Jewel Society for Philanthropy- raised over $2,000 for Juvenile Diabetes for eight years in a row
  • Awarded “Chapter of the Year” during 2007 Greek Awards Night
  • Hosted Annual Hoops for Hope to raise money for Juvenile Diabetes philanthropy
  • Co-hosted the annual Debbie McElwain Run/Walk to benefit the Special Olympics
  • Runner up for Rose Bowl award (national Alpha Gamma Delta top scholarship award)
 
Delta Zeta
  • Region IX Best Overall Large Chapter
  • Region IX Best Academic Program 
  • Greek Student Athlete of the Year for three consecutive years
  • 100% Involvement: Each girl in our sorority is involved in at least one organization outside of Delta Zeta
 
Zeta Tau Alpha
  • Raised most money for campus Relay for Life event
  • Received scholarship, membership, and overall- outstanding chapter awards in province ZTA Day
  • Won Crown Chapter Award at National Convention
  • Major donor for philanthropy, raising over $2000 for Breast Cancer Awareness and Education for the ZTA Foundation
  • Hosted bracelet sales, Pink Out, and annual Mr. Jewell Competition to raise money for breast cancer awareness and education
  • Recognized as “Most Philanthropic Greek Organization” at 2007 Greek Award Night
  • Member Jenny Morrison- Goldwater Scholarship Recipient
Fraternities
 
Kappa Alpha Order
  • Intramural Champions for the 3rd consecutive year
  • Members competing in every male varsity sport except golf
  • Chapter member Travis Milne named Province Undergraduate Chairman for Chiles Province
  • Chapter member, David Keeler, became the new IFC President     
  • Recognized for Academic Excellence by the Chiles Province
  • Raised over $2,500 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association
  • Entered a Relay for Life team with over 20 men.
 
Lambda Chi Alpha
  • Awarded: Greek Man of the Year (Chris Carr); Greek Advisor of the Year (Richard Harriman); Alumnus (Larry Holly); Scholarship Award for highest fraternity GPA
  • Annual Date Auction: Raised $1,550 for North American Food Drive (February 2008)
  • North American Food Drive: Raised over 25,000 pounds of canned food (October-November 2007)
  • Fraternity/Greek sponsored philanthropy: 275 hours of service
  • Individual philanthropy: New York Spring Break (one, March 2008), Honduras (two, May 2008), In addition, brothers logged several hundred hours for other groups and organizations (PSA, American Humanics, Amnesty, etc.)
  • National Fraternity Awards: North American Food Drive (over 10,000 pounds); Campus Involvement
 Phi Gamma Delta
  • Collected 200 Toys and over $200 for BACA (Bikers Against Child Abuse)
  • Raised $2000 for the American Red Cross during annual BOTAB (Battle of the Air Bands)
  • Awarded the Owen Cup for most improved Scholarship by International Fraternity
  • Placed 3rd in Condon Cup for most overall improvement given by International Fraternity
  • Won the Greek Philanthropy Award for accumulating over 1,000 man hours of community service and raising funds through BOTAB
  • Chapter member awarded Greek Athlete of the Year
Sigma Nu
  • Full infrastructure and self-governance according to the national Sigma Nu fraternity model
  • ADPi Collect The Booty - more donations than any other Jewell Greek organization
  • Bi-weekly scholarship program
  • Fully completed LEAD program
  • Dr. Scott Falke became the Chapter Faculty Advisor
  • Participated in Relay for Life
  • Participation in almost all Jewell sponsored Greek events
  • Dramatic improvement in chapter GPA over one semester
