Larry Hamilton

Larry Hamilton attended Jewell from 1957-61 and coached and worked as the athletic director from 1967-2002. He played three sports for the Cardinals including football, swimming, and track. He was the high point man of the 1960 MCAU outdoor track meet. During his career he won titles in the 100, 440, and 880. Hamilton was MCAU All-Conference in football. His career as a coach was equally impressive. Under his guidance, the Cardinals won two HAAC track titles. In 1999-00 he was named HAAC and NACAA/ Continental Airlines Athletic Director of the Year.
