William Jewell College's Hall of Fame

The Hall of Fame was established in 1994 to recognize outstanding achievement by William Jewell alumni and/or faculty in the areas of athletic achievement or coaching, or other noteworthy accomplishments in athletic-related areas. The selection is based solely on what the individual or team accomplished while associated with William Jewell.

The guiding force behind the formation of the Hall of Fame was Rodger LaBeth (1968 William Jewell College graduate) who at the time was the Assistant Dean of Physical Education, Athletics and Facilities. The selection process is by committee with input by all constituents of the William Jewell community.

A 10-year waiting period is required for alumni selection. The award may be presented posthumously to either alumni or faculty. The selection should be made on the overall career of any individual; however, it may, on occasion, be based on a single accomplishment.

Hall of Fame awards will be presented during the banquet each year. Any living and able honoree is expected to be present to receive the award. Honorees will be given an additional year to be present.
