Kenneth B. Chatlos, Ph.D. Oxbridge Professor of History and Department Chair chatlosk@william.jewell.edu Dr. Chatlos received his B.A. from the University of North Dakota and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. He has also done sabbaticals at Oxford University and in Basel, Switzerland. Dr. Chatlos has also participated in NEH Summer Seminars at the University of Indiana, Yale University, the University of California - Berkeley and Vanderbilt University. Dr. Chatlos' specialties are the Renaissance and Reformation, and he also teaches a popular course on Hitler's Europe. He has taught at William Jewell College since 1973.
 Elaine A.Reynolds, Ph.D. Professor of History reynoldse@william.jewell.edu Dr. Reynolds attended the University of New York at Buffalo for her B.A. and received an M.A. and Ph.D. from Cornell University. She teaches British history and modern European history. Her research interest is the history of law enforcement and crime in London in the 18th and 19th centuries. In 1998, Dr. Reynolds published Before the Bobbies: The Night Watch and Police Reform in Metropolitan London ,1720-1830. She was also a Visiting Fellow at Harris-Manchester College, Oxford in Fall 2001. Dr. Reynolds has been with William Jewell since 1986.
Frederick M. Spletstoser, Ph.D. Professor of History spletstoser@william.jewell.edu Dr. Spletstoser received both a B.A. and an M.A. from the University of Missouri - Kansas City, and a Ph.D. from Louisiana State University. American history is Dr. Spletstoser's area of interest. Recently, he has been working with the U.S. District courts, interviewing the older and retired judges. Dr. Spletstoser has been with the College since 1985.
